Mission Statement

The qʷəlút Healing Center is dedicated to assisting individuals, families, and the community to improve individual functioning and elevate the quality of life for all. Available to Native Americans and non-natives alike, the qʷəlút Healing Center is committed to providing treatment of the highest quality at an affordable price by well-trained, licensed and deeply caring experienced professionals.

We offer individual and group sessions to meet your needs.

Hours of Operations

Monday - Thursday:
8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Fridays:
8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

We are closed on Federal and Tribal holidays.

In the event of inclement weater, our clinic follows the same closures and late starts as the Arlington School District.

The qʷəlút Healing Center's Behavioral Health Programs (BHP) offers Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Treatment Services as well as Mental Health Services.

Treatment Techniques

We utilize a combination of treatment techniques including, but not limited to:

  • 12-step 
  • Mental health assessment and counseling services 
  • Groups
  • Smoking cessation 
  • Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT)

Drug and Alcohol Assessments

The qʷəlút Healing Center's Behavioral Health Programs (BHP) counseling staff are aware the results from an assessment can stay with you for your lifetime. We take this seriously and want to provide quality care, respect and treatment during your appointment. Based on the information gathered at the time of the assessment interview, along with the supporting/necessary documents and urinalysis results, we will develop a diagnoses based on the ASAM PPC and DSM-5 Statistical manual.

Getting an Assessment 

  • Assessments can be scheduled 5 days-a-week (Monday - Friday with the exception of federal holidays when Behavioral Health Programs is closed).
  • Assessments can take up to three hours. 
  • You should be prepared to leave a urinalysis sample at the time of the scheduled assessment. 
  • We discuss the purpose for the assessment (legal or otherwise). 
  • We use standardized tools and other supporting documents depending on the type of assessment you are requesting. 
  • Information discussed during an assessment includes drug and alcohol history, family history, legal and education history, employment history and mental wellness. 
  • Assessment results are formulated on information gathered from several sources. 

Legal Assessments due to alcohol or drug (alcohol concentration 0.08 or THC concentration 5.00) driving charge (RCW 46.61.502) there are specific documents you will need to obtain; 

PRIOR to the assessment.  You will need to bring with you:

  • Defendants Case History
  • Washington State Criminal History and police report 
  • The current (within 48 hours) 5-year driving abstract  (RCW 46.52.130). 

Obtaining Needed Documents

You can obtain your documents from multiple sources, such as your attorney, WA State Dept. of Licensing (www.dol.wa.gov/driverslicense/drivingrecord.html) and the Washington State Patrol Website (www.wsp.wa.gov). This will include history of violations, citations, convictions, department actions and/or collisions you have incurred. Each driving record costs $13.

Support Groups

We offer the following groups Monday through Friday: 

Morning:
10:00 a.m. – 12 noon

Evening:
5:00 p.m. – 7 p.m. 

  • Living in Balance
  • MRT
  • DBT
  • Relapse Prevention
  • Substance Education Group

Outpatient Services

Level 2.1 Intensive Outpatient Treatment (IOP) generally consist of treatment for 3 to 5 days per week. You can expect IOP treatment to range from 6 to 10 hours per week and to last about 90 days. Typical therapy sessions will be between 1 and 2 hours.

Level 1.0 Outpatient services (OP) generally consists treatment for 1 to 3 days per week. You can expect 2 to 4 hours per week, and can last up to 6 months. 

Education and Support for Adult Family Members

The qʷəlút Healing Center's Behavioral Health Programs (BHP) believes the disease of addiction and alcoholism can be a family issue. We offer a weekly education group as part of our Level 1.0 outpatient treatment program that adult family members are welcome to attend. BHP also has a monthly speaker panel the last Wednesday of each month (holiday exceptions apply). The goal of this evening is to introduce clients and families to 12-Step and other mutual-help programs; help clients and their families take part in support groups.

Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT)

Medication-assisted treatment. Some medications can reduce symptoms of withdrawal during detox from certain drugs. Others can reduce cravings during the recovery process. Medications for alcohol or opioid addiction available through BHP include:

  • Acamprosate (Campral)
  • Buprenorphine (Suboxone)
  • Disulfiram (Antabuse)
  • Naltrexone (Vivitrol, ReVia)

SAMHSA’s National Helpline, 1-800-662-HELP (4357), (also known as the Treatment Referral Routing Service) or TTY: 1-800-487-4889  confidential, free, 24-hour-a-day, 365-day-a-year, information service, in English and Spanish, for individuals and family members facing mental and/or substance use disorders. 

Alcohol & Drug Information School (ADIS)

Beginning Friday, November 1, 2019 and continuing the first Friday of each month.

We will be offering English and Spanish Speaking classes: altering each month, beginning with English in November, December Spanish and so on.

Classes: 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (Arrive at 8:15)

Cost: $100 if paid in advance of class
              $150 if paid day of class
